Dr. Michael Pham is a board-certified physician in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Interventional Pain Medicine. His dual specialty training allows him to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care by treating pain not only as a symptom, but as a barrier to restoring function, mobility, and quality of life. Rather than focusing solely on pain relief, Dr. Pham believes the ultimate goal of treatment is to help patients regain independence, return to the activities they love, and achieve their highest level of physical function. By combining the principles of rehabilitation medicine with advanced interventional techniques, regenerative medicine, and functional medicine, he develops individualized treatment plans that address the root causes of pain and optimize long-term health and wellness.
Dr. Pham earned bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Anthropology from the University of Florida before receiving his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University. He completed his internship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, followed by residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center.
Throughout his career, Dr. Pham has remained committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that emphasizes identifying and treating the underlying cause of pain whenever possible—not simply masking symptoms. He believes that meaningful healing extends beyond procedures alone and is best achieved through a comprehensive approach that integrates rehabilitation, minimally invasive interventions, regenerative medicine, nutrition, movement, and lifestyle optimization. By partnering closely with each patient, Dr. Pham empowers individuals to take an active role in their recovery and achieve lasting improvements in function, health, and quality of life.
In addition to his expertise in interventional pain management, Dr. Pham has advanced training in orthobiologic and regenerative medicine, including bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC), micro-fragmented adipose tissue (mFAT), and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapies. He is committed to incorporating the latest evidence-based advancements in orthobiologics to provide patients with innovative treatment options that support the body’s natural healing processes while reducing reliance on medications and surgery whenever appropriate.
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Pham now proudly calls Michigan home after marrying a Michigan native. Although he grew up near the ocean and no longer spends his weekends surfing, he enjoys paddleboarding and kayaking whenever he has the opportunity. A lifelong sports fan, he remains loyal to his hometown teams while enthusiastically cheering on Detroit sports.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Pham enjoys playing music, cooking, traveling, and spending time with his wife and the large, welcoming family he proudly married into.
